Rotherham Local Government Branch has tonight weighed in behind Dave Prentis for General Secretary. The Branch AGM held earlier this evening unanimously agreed to support Dave’s candidature. Speaking after the meeting Branch Secretary, Carol Maleham, said “there was clearly never any doubt in the minds of our members who is the best person to take the union forward and I am pleased that we have agreed to support Dave. As we go into more challenging times we need strong leadership with a clear policy framework around which the whole union can unite.”
