I have been reading this blog and others on the internet with some interest. I am a member of the Kirklees Branch and work within at Council. I can tell you for sure that the claims made by Paul Homes as to trade union density are incorrect. The council employees 14689 employees and UNISON membership is currently 8550 members, that’s 58% not 85% as he claims.
