Welcome to our Campaign Blog

The campaign for UNISON’s future has well and truly started. This blog is unashamedly a pro Dave Prentis forum that will serve to highlight the achievements secured in the last 10 years under Dave’s leadership. As well as setting out his clear vision for the future direction of our union, we will expose the failings of his opponents, identify flaws in their policy proposals and uncover the real truth behind their campaign.

Holmes Seeks Guidance from Leadership Guru

As the regional campaign heats up Paul Holmes appears content to find solitude in the Westminster tea rooms seeking guidance from those with experience of leadership elections. Meanwhile, in his own back yard, his campaign is haemorrhaging support as more and more branches recognise the extent of the intellectual and organisational divide between the candidates.

  1. I have been reading this blog and others on the internet with some interest. I am a member of the Kirklees Branch and work within at Council. I can tell you for sure that the claims made by Paul Homes as to trade union density are incorrect. The council employees 14689 employees and UNISON membership is currently 8550 members, that’s 58% not 85% as he claims.
